Is GE Vernova (GEV) Undervalued After Raising Guidance And Landing Data Center Power Deals?

Published:

GE Vernova (GEV) is back in focus after strong organic order growth, higher 2026 revenue and free cash flow guidance, and fresh data center linked power deals with Venture Global.

Despite the latest pullback, with a 1-day share price return down 6.2% and a 7-day share price return down 5.6% as AI infrastructure stocks sold off, GE Vernova still carries a 30-day share price gain of 7.7% and a year to date share price return of 38.6%. The 1-year total shareholder return of 53.3% points to momentum that has cooled recently rather than reversed outright.

Scan a curated set of power grid and electrification plays benefiting from AI data center build outs with the 43 power grid technology and infrastructure stocks.

After a sharp run and a recent wobble, GE Vernova now trades well below both analyst targets and some intrinsic value estimates. Is that gap signaling mispricing, or a market reset on expectations?

GE Vernova’s most followed narrative pegs fair value at $1,269.77 per share, which sits well above the recent $941.78 close and frames the current pullback as a discount to that view.

GE Vernova’s strongest competitive advantage lies in its Power segment, particularly its installed base of roughly 7,000 gas turbines worldwide. Selling a turbine is only the beginning of the relationship. Once installed, utilities and industrial customers rely on GE Vernova for decades of high-margin servicing, maintenance, upgrades, and software support. This creates a recurring annuity-like revenue stream backed by over $31 billion of unearned service revenue, giving the company unusually strong long-term visibility for an industrial business.

Result: Fair Value of $1,269.77 (UNDERVALUED)

Still, GE Vernova’s wind losses and any slowdown in AI data center related orders could quickly challenge the idea that this pullback reflects simple mispricing.

Another View: SWS DCF Model Flags Limited Upside

While many investors see GE Vernova as 26% undervalued on narrative fair value, the SWS DCF model tells a cooler story. In that framework, the stock at $941.78 sits above an estimated future cash flow value of $858.87, which tilts this method toward overvaluation. Which lens do you trust more when cash flows and sentiment disagree?

Look into how the SWS DCF model arrives at its fair value.
