NEW ORLEANS (AP) — NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Entergy Corp. (ETR) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $940.3 million.

The New Orleans-based company said it had profit of $1.98 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.71 per share.

The power company posted revenue of $4.37 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.16 billion.

Entergy expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.35 to $4.45 per share.
