William Blair added five stocks to its monthly Conviction List, with energy and nursing-linked companies among the new picks.
The list features Outperform-rated stocks that analysts expect to do well over six months. Analysts may swap names midmonth with a published rationale, and holdings roll off after six months or a rating cut.
EQT Corporation (NYSE:EQT) joined as a possible beneficiary of a gas rebound after its acquisition of Range Resources (RRC). Matador Resources (NYSE:MTDR) was added on oil-driven cash flow and potential midstream monetization, a reference to pipeline and processing assets.
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) was added on acquisition-driven expansion and peak nursing occupancy. American Public Education (APEI) joined on nursing program demand, while MiniMed Group (MMED) made the list at a discount ahead of insulin patch pump catalysts, or events that could lift the shares.
Devon Energy (DVN) was removed after reaching the six-month limit. The firm dropped Remitly Global (RELY) before earnings to avoid possible volatility after a run, and Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) after a share recovery to reduce exposure to higher leverage.
