Bloom Energy (BE) Raises Full-Year Outlook Following 166% Revenue Surge

Polen Capital, an investment management company, released its Q3 2026 investor letter for its “5Perspectives Growth Opportunities Strategy”. The letter can be downloaded here. The Portfolio fell 6.2% in Q3 2026, underperforming the Russell 3000 Growth Index’s 0.5% gain. Twist Bioscience, CrowdStrike, and an underweight in Micron helped relative performance, while Argan, an underweight in Microsoft, and Bloom Energy detracted. Despite market volatility, the team sees AI fundamentals as intact and is gradually shifting focus from AI infrastructure suppliers toward businesses applying AI to boost productivity and develop new offerings. Polen 5Perspectives Growth Opportunities Strategy stated the following regarding Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) in its Q3 2026 investor letter:

“Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) is a manufacturer of solid-oxide fuel cell systems that provide onsite power to data centers and other commercial and industrial customers. Shares were highly volatile during the quarter, falling more than 50% from their late-June record through late July amid valuation concerns and the timing of second-half revenue conversion, as well as a short-seller report that questioned the company’s accounting and supply of a key material, allegations the company disputed. The stock subsequently recovered much of that decline following record second-quarter results, including revenue growth up 166% year over-year and an increase in full-year guidance raised. In our view, continued investor interest in the potential power requirements associated with AI data centers also supported sentiment toward the shares.”
