Can Bloom Energy Stock Jump 50%?

Published:

Bloom Energy (BE) stock’s chance of a 50% jump depends on whether the company can build its power systems as quickly as customers order them. Shares closed 42.1% below their June 22 high on November 4, 2026, so a 50% rally would still leave them short of that peak. The stock has climbed 50% or more within each of the last seven calendar years, measuring the largest gain from one close to a later close inside each year. So how far does Bloom plan to grow its output?

Bloom Energy Is Preparing To Build Past 5 Gigawatts

During an October 22, 2026 call, management said Bloom is preparing for growth beyond an approaching 5-gigawatt milestone, though it provided no timeline. An analyst on the call noted that the company has previously said its current factories can support over 5 gigawatts of annual output. Bloom will add capacity gradually as demand requires. The company spent $153 million on capital projects in the September quarter, mainly on machinery and production capacity at its existing Fremont and Newark facilities.

Product revenue tracks the pace of Bloom’s deliveries. The company books this revenue when a customer takes control of a system, making it what management calls the direct measure of systems delivered and accepted in a quarter. Product revenue reached $1.07 billion in the September quarter, up 179% from a year earlier. Management also said the company’s backlog is growing faster than its revenue.

How Big Could Bloom Energy’s Growth Get?

These systems account for most of Bloom’s business. Product revenue made up 87% of total revenue in the September quarter, management said, so the factory plan covers nearly the whole company.

Management has raised its revenue outlook three times in 2026. On its fiscal Q1 2026 call, the company expected revenue growth of 60% for the year. Bloom now guides to $4.4 billion to $4.6 billion in revenue for 2026, marking an increase of about 122% from 2025 at the midpoint. That is a forecast, not a result.

The share price appears to assume this growth will continue well past 2026. Bloom trades at 15.4 times its sales over the last twelve months, compared with 3.2 times for the S&P 500. Measured from the November 4, 2025 close, the stock rose 55.3% over the past year, against a 13.5% rise in the index’s price.

What Does Bloom Energy Still Have To Prove?

Bloom must show it can add capacity without sacrificing margin or cash. On October 30, Hunterbrook Media published a report titled “Bloom: Chinese Scandium Supply Route Restarts” and said Hunterbrook Capital is short Bloom; the shares closed 8.6% lower that day. Management kept its 2026 outlook for adjusted gross margin at about 34% even as it raised its revenue forecast. When the October 22 call turned to margins, management said Bloom is paying near-term costs to ramp up new production lines and rush deliveries, and that cost cuts will take time to materialize.

Cash remains the other open point. Bloom’s operations used $27 million of cash in the September quarter as working capital rose, mainly in inventory, contract assets and money owed by customers. Management said Bloom bills at contract milestones, so cash can arrive after revenue is booked, adding that operations still generated cash for the year to date.

Bloom’s cash from operations is the figure to watch when the company next reports, expected in February 2027.
