Cheniere Energy, Inc. LNG emphasized higher earnings expectations, expanding production capacity and long-term contracting momentum during its third-quarter 2026 earnings call. Management raised full-year financial guidance for the third consecutive quarter, supported by stronger LNG pricing and operational improvements.
Executives also outlined production expectations for 2027, discussed expansion timelines and addressed how global supply disruptions are influencing customer demand and commercial opportunities.
LNG Raises 2026 Guidance on Stronger Margins
Cheniere increased its 2026 consolidated adjusted EBITDA guidance to $8.75-$9.25 billion from $7.90-$8.40 billion. Distributable cash flow guidance rose to $6.05-$6.55 billion from $5.30-$5.80 billion.
Chief financial officer Zach Davis attributed the increases primarily to stronger global gas spreads, additional cargo deliveries and optimization activities. Management also benefited from the earlier-than-expected completion of Corpus Christi Stage 3.

Cheniere Outlines Higher Production for 2027
Management introduced preliminary 2027 LNG production expectations of 56 million to 58 million tons compared with its maintained 2026 forecast of 53 million to 54 million tons.
Davis, Cheniere’s CFO, explained that improved plant reliability, debottlenecking and the completed Stage 3 project support higher output. No major extended maintenance turnarounds are scheduled for 2027.
Approximately 52 million tons are expected to be covered by long-term contracts next year. Of roughly 5 million tons available for marketing, management indicated that only about 1 million tons remained unsold.
LNG Secures Long-Term Commercial Commitments
Chairman, president and chief executive officer Jack Fusco highlighted new long-term LNG supply agreements with QatarEnergy and Petrobras, totaling approximately 5 million tons annually.
The QatarEnergy agreements cover up to 4 million tons annually through 2054, while Petrobras contracted 0.8 million tons annually for 22 years. These commitments support Cheniere’s planned brownfield expansions.
During the analyst discussion, JPMorgan questioned whether geopolitical developments could attract additional customers. Chief commercial officer Anatol Feygin emphasized opportunities among existing counterparties alongside new customers, with contracts extending well into the 2050s.
Cheniere Advances Its Brownfield Expansion Plans
Corpus Christi Midscale Trains 8 and 9 were 58.6% complete at September-end, with substantial completion expected during the second half of 2028. Management excluded additional production from these trains in its 2027 outlook.
Fusco expects the first phase of the Sabine Pass expansion to reach a final investment decision following regulatory approvals anticipated around year-end. The project would add more than 6 million tons of annual capacity.
During Citi’s questioning, management emphasized disciplined construction economics at Corpus Christi. Davis reiterated targets involving capital expenditure relative to EBITDA and contracted returns, while highlighting the advantages of existing infrastructure.
LNG Sees Tight Supply Supporting Global Pricing
Feygin described continued LNG supply constraints associated with disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz. European and Asian benchmark prices remained elevated during the quarter.
Europe entered October with storage approximately 72% full, increasing competition for winter cargoes. Management also highlighted resilient demand across India and Southeast Asia despite higher prices.
During Barclays’ questioning about demand destruction, Feygin emphasized the protection provided by long-term contracts. He noted that contracted U.S. cargoes remained substantially cheaper than spot-market purchases, reinforcing their commercial appeal.
Cheniere Maintains Its Shareholder Return Priorities
Management reported approximately $730 million in third-quarter share repurchases and increased the quarterly dividend by more than 12% to 62.5 cents per share.
Davis reaffirmed the commitment to annual dividend growth of at least 10% through the decade while retaining financial flexibility for expansion investments.
The company also secured financing commitments for Sabine Pass expansion construction. Management continues balancing infrastructure development with repurchases, dividends and balance-sheet discipline.
LNG Management Emphasizes Execution and Visibility
Management’s commentary centered on operational reliability, contracted cash flows and disciplined investment decisions amid volatile commodity markets.
Executives emphasized converting strong market conditions into longer-term financial visibility while pursuing additional capacity through existing facilities.
