Par Pacific recently named Jerry Stumbo executive vice president for refining and logistics. He succeeds Richard Creamer, who has moved to a senior advisor role and plans to retire on April 1, 2027. Stumbo officially succeeded Creamer on Sept. 28.
Stumbo joins Par Pacific from oil company Valero, according to his bio on the company website. There, he held a number of roles, including VP and general manager for the Port Arthur, Texas, refinery and VP and general manager for the St. Charles, Louisiana, refinery.
He has also held roles with Phillips 66 and ConocoPhillips.
“I’m excited to welcome Jerry to the team, and believe his experience, character, and resilience will be critical ingredients to drive our operations to the next level,” said Will Monteleone, president and CEO of Par Pacific, during the company’s Q3 earnings call on Wednesday.
Creamer served as EVP for refining and logistics since he joined the company in 2022. Before that, he held a variety of operations and engineering leadership roles throughout the Texas Gulf Coast with companies such as Flint Hills Resources and Invista.
“Richard built a reliable, disciplined operating organization that is a significant part of the results we are reporting today, and we are fortunate to retain his counsel through the transition,” said Monteleone during the call.
